This is an older Project I did for Volkswagen Autostadt.
It is a realsized 3D Avatar with realtime animation, recognizing Voice input and answering with a synthetic Voice. It was fully controllable using a Texteditor and atimeline based Gesture System designed by myself.
The presence of a customer can be tracked using a ultrasound sensor placed over the microphone.
Since I have some space left here....Why not show an actual WIP I am about to finish the next days. I do not have any other HD stuff to show right now anyway. Enjoy....
And yes...the wheels are rotating correctly, I did the math and wrote a scripted rotation controller ;) but as in reality, fast rotating wheels give a strange effect, feeling like rotating backwards sometime.....
PS: I hate 3ds max for this kind of animation. but my customer wants the source file after competition......XSI would have made my work a lot easier.
