Tribute to Jenny Lewis & Rilo Kiley Part 2.
This one is more of a tribute to Terrence Malick first and then the great people who worked on the music.
Badlands was a revelation when I first saw it and still generates great things in me.
Same for the rest of your work, specially Days of Heaven.
So needless to say, since your work is ever present in my mind the minute I heard this pop song about statutory rape I could not stop thinking of Badlands.
And so it came, no murder, no crime, just a car with two lovers bound for a place with no time, and hopefully no age.
To Jenny Lewis & Rilo Kiley, this is my favorite song of the album, and by god, even if the sixteen year olds don't buy it, it has too much soul to be drop. It's the window for limitless tales, and the bridge between the old and the new. There's much to explore and I hope it's not left behind for better numbers.
