The Tour of Britain came to Kendal on Monday 12th September for the second stage of the race to Blackpool. With a superb field including World Champion Thor Hushovd, and Tour of France Green Jersey winner Mark Cavendish the interest in Kendal was huge.

Unfortunately the remnants of Hurricane Katia were battering the North West and the organisers reluctantly took the decision to cancel the stage and the riders did 2 processional laps around Kendal for the benefit of the spectators.

This film looks at the race start and hopefully gives some insight into the whole race infrastrucutre.
