I greatly enjoy what you do Mr. Mann, and miss your humour on Mac Break Weekly. (Yes, I am Canadian, I like vowels, that's how I do).

The physics of loud cable cars is that wet air is dense air. Sound propagates better in a dense medium. So cold and moist is ideal for loud trains.

Also, wet surfaces are more reflective that dry ones. Echoing and reverberation will increase raising the noise floor.

Excellent call with The Jayhawks. Do you think people lose their virginity to Vampire Weekend now? They sometimes remind me of early Police (the Reggae Years not the Sting and the two other guys years). Just a thought...

Wee wee in the woo woo. I must have missed that day at school. And no wonder people are surprised if that's what they call it.

I would have teenagers making cool things like Web sites if I had my way.

And what's with the rubber band on your wrist?

As @mrsmoltz noted, once you see "That's how I roll" on a billboard advertisement for a bank, you know it's time to stop saying it.

I often wish I could draw.

  • More banjo-y music (with some edge) for you. This is a pretty great song by Ha Ha Tonka called "Caney Mountain." The video was done by the motion design group at the agency where I work. Nice stuff.

I also pull the "learning how to draw" thing every so often... coupled with being obsessed with notebooks and I've got piles of half started drawing journals all over the place.

Someday it will pay off, right?

Blue is sweet, and I also like Settled Down Like Rain a lot. They were big staples on the radio in Charleston, SC.

I just wanted to say that I'm loving the finishing frames - yesterdays reminded me of the video 'jizz in my pants' - they make me 'tee hee'/lol.
Annnd I have the same thoughts about tattoo's and education as you so I find it cool to watch these video's for those reasons also. I also find it cool 'cause I watch it on the roof of my house whilst wearing only a pair of socks.

Explaining everything to everyone is part of the problem with the 10%: no matter what you do, 10% of people will either not get it at all, not recognize it's funny/sarcastic, or be offended by it.

Remember the YLNT cross stitch? flickr.com/photos/thejacksons/2555566785/

My 84-year-old mother liked it so much I gave it to her and she has it inside her front door. She thinks it's just a nice way to start the day, she has no idea of the debauchery behind the sentiment. You've officially infiltrated Andy Rooney's demographic!

Yes, the Jayhawks are from Minneapolis. Have you heard Gary Louris' new solo stuff? Pretty great.

Hey Merlin, glad you thought we were a little more bearable than your average teenage group. (I was the one that had the whole Windows vs. Mac debate going on... damn 3 bucks). Anyways, thanks for being cool and taking us round the mission and whatnot. Vids are damn funny. By the way, yeah letterman's from indy.
