Oceana launched in April 2011 its first research expedition to the Baltic Sea. The goal was two-fold: first, to analyse the especial ecologically-important areas' status of the baltic, to propose the designation of new marine Protected Areas and stricter management plans for those already designated, and second to research and document illegal and unsustainiable fishing activities. This video features the work done during the two-month campaign onboard the "Hanse Explorer".
