A walk on the seabed in Jersey Channel islands.
A rare opportunity to walk almost 2 miles offshore beyond Seymour tower to Karame beacon and the Violet bank on a very low tide. The lunar like terrain is sometimes referred to as a “Moonwalk”.
This video gives an insight into the walks in the South east coast of Jersey Ramsar wetlands site. An area of unique marine bio-diversity. We explore gullies, cross sand bars and rock pools.
In just a few hours our footsteps will be covered by up to 40ft of ocean as the tide rushes in.
Jersey has some of the highest tides in the world and the South east coast Ramsar site is a remarkable place to discover and explore.
Look out for the low water fisherman catching Lobster in the video.
Thanks to Annette Lowe for filming this for us on a windy day.
