Short video of our time with the people of San Roque, an urban poor community located next to the posh & upscale TriNoma Shopping Center in Quezon City, Philippines. This community is under constant threat of demolition and displacement by big corporations who want to use the area to build expensive high-rise condominiums, without providing a relocation plan for the residents. The people are relentlessly fighting to defend their community from demolition, working with organizations like KADAMAY, a militant organization of urban poor residents. The community's resilience led their youth to form AKLAS, an alliance of community youth organizations, student groups, fraternities, street gangs, and young children, fiercely defending their community. These young & fierce 10-11 year olds possess the strength, intelligence, and passion of seasoned revolutionaries.
