all the filmed people are between 85 and 107 years old.
thank you very much!

Across the morning sky, all the birds are leavin'
How can they know when it's time to move
Before the winter fires will still be lingering
I do not count the time
Who knows where time goes
Who knows where time goes

Sad, deserted shores, your fickle friends are leavin'
Oh, but then you know when it's time for them to go
But I will still be here,
I have no thoughts of leavin'
I do not count the time
Who knows where the time goes?
Who knows where the time goes?

Cruel reality. All is transient. Memories. Life. Passion to life is being put out.

Jorg wow man what can I say, utterly beautiful sensitivity and ashes to ashes dust to dust from the cradle to the grave and so poignant accompanied by Nick who never got to know growing old what a tragedy and more fitting than selling Volkswagons. Excellent work. Did all your subjects know they were being photographed, does not look like much compression looks like you are close. Lovely journeys in the lifelines of your subjects.

That was great Jorg. It forces you to look hard into those faces, faces of character and stories of hard lives and one has nothing but respect for them. Thankyou for sharing. And the music selection was perfect.

Beautiful - why. Yes - close, real. Seems like we wer there. I would like to know, did you tell them what you were doing, and did you tell them it was going on the internet? And did you let them giove permission? And if so, do you think they understand the internet?
I ask not to mess up the beauty of this, but because I also am working with blind old people at a nursing home, and have ethical questions about whetjher they really understand that everyone in the world can now see them. Huge wild perspectives, especially if you knew the world 107 years ago.
And at another nursing home, we can show films of these people while they live, but not any longer after they have died. Have you considered this?
The music comes from? It is special because it fits so well with the people and age and life.
    Excellent movie.
Thanks for sharing it. My comments are all meant in a constructive perspective, please read them like that :)
    All the best!

    thanks for this comment.
of course i did. i was asking all of the people and told them, that i would film them and that i planed to put this film on the internet. there where also people, who gave no permission to film. and i did not film them. with most of them i was also talking about their live. the daughter of the very old women was asking her mother and she gave permission.
i met and spoke also with the director of this place and explained him my small project.
the music is from nina simone " where does time go"
by cutting the film i tried also to show those intersting faces in a respectfull way.
the ethic of filming is a big question...!
thanks for your sincere and critical way to watch this
    film.

Beautifully and compassionately filmed, it involved me emotionally. So sad that we all have to grow old, but at least in this short, you allowed them dignity.

And the soundtrack was a great version of Sandy Denny's original song.

thanks, i did not know, that the orginal song ist from sandy dennys...?

Very impresive video! We all know life and beauty aren't for ever and it doesn't matter, because it is about how you lived.

" where does time go" ............ and as each day passes by ... the question become more demanding of ourselves!

Loved this dichotomy - life, time ... self, reflection .... engrained ... embossed ... etched with love for life!

    Well done fer sure!
