Jym,
Yes I am very happy but I also use a Sony EX3 and like both cameras very much. The 20X lens on the V1U is outstanding and I also use the Century 2x Ext. for the V1U. Thank your for your comments.
Ray.
I think that 2xTC is giving you some wicked chromatic aberration. You may want to reconsider using it (or switching brands) (see the Red Winged Blackbird at 1:30)
overall - great movie, makes me miss Yellowstone even more!
This was a wonderful video.Truly inspirational and it left me with a feeling of peace and wonder.I'm going watch it again, but I will also remember it. Thank you so much for sharing it. I also loved the music.
Amazing shots, big patience, deep peace, awesome colors. These things overcome technical issues, especially when one focus on the flow of your movie. Great video Ray, thx! PS: how much time you needed for the shots?
On a technical note... The "magic hour" actually begins the instant the sun drops *below* the horizon. Also, for what it's worth, it's not an hour... more like 20 minutes.
Much of the movie "Days of Heaven" (shot by Nestor Almendros) was filmed during those last 20 minutes of sunlight. It's a beautiful movie--Won the oscar that year for Best Cinematography.
Thanks for sharing the beauty in your eyes with my eyes. Your heart has to be gigantic. I can't believe some of the comments here were critical. I truly enjoyed it.

I watched this many times. Pacing is great. Transitions go with the emotion. I only didn't really enjoy the sun's movement across the sky to the right, something near there, it didn't flow.
GRACIAS:
Es realmente admirable.
Felicidades por demostrar que los seres humanos somos capaces de admirar la belleza(el trabajo, el equipo, la natura, etc.)
Beautiful, it shows how rich we are. I did not like the corny, overdramatized music though, I am sorry you did not use the incredible sounds of music nature itself provides us with.

Ray, are you happy with the Sony HVR-V1U? Any advice about purchasing?

Ray.
And by the way, I use HVR-V1U myself. Would you recommend using 60i, 30p or 24p?
This was shot in SW Montana and some in Yellowstone.
Glad you enjoyed it.

A glimpse of perfection and balance. Great use of the tools and circumstances. Well integrated music. Inner and outer values celebrated. Bravo.
