The dust particles and scratches on the black-and-white footage add to the atmosphere. It seems as if we're watching an archive film from the Eastern Bloc. As the camera gradually reveals more of the surroundings, statues appear in the frame. We are caught off guard by a feeling of amazement: the difference in scale between man and statue is immerse.
