58. Shave for the Brave

Every weekday 46 families hear the dreaded news that their child has cancer. So, in a triumphant effort to combat that statistic, 46 women who have all been dealt that horrifying news took the stage in Union Station's main terminal to shave their head to raise money and awareness for cancer research. In front of a crowd that included local celebs like ABC 7's movie guru Arch Campbell and Real Housewife of DC Mary Amons, the women sheared it all in what turned out to be an inspirational and heart-wrenching event.
