It's a herbal cream that you put on bruising and it speeds up the healing, pretty good stuff.

yes arnica is ancient and herb - it will help with the swelling but never put it on an open wound - ever- and wash your hands after applying it on the skin. I'm sure the swelling has gone down by now, but it will help get rid of the black and blues which can last for two weeks (dancers use it for sprains and swelling etc. all the time) he looks thinnnnnnnner!!!!!! tell him I said congratz and good luck on the knee op!

I LOVE arnica! It DOES work. You can get an oral version too which might help for something like that. I'm sure it's healed up by now though. (I hope!)
