$2.7 million in mitigation funds resulting from the Colonial Oil spill on the Reedy River in June of 1996 will help create Greenville County's first "Blue Trail" at Cedar Falls located on the Reedy at Cedar Falls Road south of Hwy 418.

The money for the 95 acre park was released to Greenville County from the SC DNR following extensive dialogue over the past six years initiated by SC House member Rep. Eric Bedingfield (R-Dist 28).
