Paul is only on defense, and now it seems like I have more brain left over (even though I'm utterly exhausted) to throw some combinations rather than the same old one-one-two. Paul and I are about the same height, and this was the first time that I felt like I was sparring someone with a significantly longer reach than my own.

Paul moves so fast! I'm barely able to stagger around by this point. I think he's the reason I had to ice my hyperextended elbow when I got home. I think I only landed maybe one good punch on him during this round. He's an awesome sparring partner.

That's Bonnie, our trainer, in the corner giving instruction. She had just come off 4 rounds with me and a handful with some of the others on the team.

Kick ass! You are doing very well. The one thing I notice is when you are doing a 1/2 L/R combo punch, you drop your guard with the second hand of the combo. That's just a bit of a give away of what's coming :) It's so good to see girl power. RAR!

Hah, no kidding. I have NO GUARD. Last night Paul got in the ring with me again and threatened to duct tape my arm to my chest so that my guard stays up. That's what our coach did to him once! Thanks for the encouragement, I'm GONNA DO IT! I am.
