No, I'm just using the internal clock in my head (I'm a drummer), firing the camera manually with the wireless remote. These were approximately 70 bpm, which I guess is about 1.2 fps. :-)
software: GarageBand to fade in & out the soundtrack, Photoshop CS3 actions to crop & color correct, QuickTime Pro to compile the photos.
I try to aim for at least 300 frames per scene, so that I can get a solid 12 seconds at 24fps. The wide-angle shot here was more like 700 frames, because I was seeing that the clouds were fading away & I wanted to capture that happening.
Throughout this afternoon, I popped off about 2100 frames. Poor little D90 shutter...
Thanks much, Michael. Sometimes I astonish myself with the abnormal amounts of patience I have for tedious tasks like this. Only sometimes. :-) In this case, as I'm watching the clouds & smoke, pulling the trigger every second, I'm thinking about where to move the camera to frame the next shot.

Did you use Camera Control? At what FPS were you shooting at?
