Due to some heavy traffic The War on Drugs arrived at the Bowlegs studio nearly two hours late – their impending sound-check for that night’s gig was getting close. Yet the band dived straight into a 3 track run (the middle section being the psyched-out instrumental ‘The Animator’) after front-man Adam Granduciel told us: “we get one chance, you get one chance”.
One chance was all they needed.
