Sometimes the best way to come up with something new is to get out of Dodge.
The writer Amy Tan puts it like this:
"You have to be displaced from what's comfortable and routine, and then you get to see things with fresh eyes, with new eyes."
Routines are fine, but picking up and doing something out of the blue can be brilliant for shaking up how you think and see.
On Sunday I took the boss-man to Greensboro from Durham on Amtrak. We found the cutest little session going--the music in this video is by the Sunday group that gets together at Tate Coffee Shop at UNC-Greensboro. Really took me back to West Cork, Ireland, days. Thanks, lads!
