Post Production - Week 59
It's been another busy week - I just finished getting the Netflix Competition and the Rooftop Films DVDs all sealed and ready to go for tomorrow! And I was about to export a new teaser, then sit down and get a few more thoughts down on paper for the film.
I have to say the Netflix Competition is a long shot - more accurately; it's a really, really, really crazy long shot - but it feels good to enter and at least give it a shot. You never know unless you try. But I'm pretty excited and anxious about the Rooftop Film Fest. I don't know if it's possible, but I've wanted to attend for the last several years. And being accepted would be a great excuse to buy a ticket to NY!

About documentary, how about this, I just saw it this weekend:
The documentary :http://tinyurl.com/b5ynjt
Their website :http://www.asiemut.com/content/view/51/71/
Thanks for the link on the doc! I have their site open, and I'll have to drop by the other link later on (I'm just checking in while I'm at work, waiting for something to render).
Another one I really love is "Dust to Glory" I thought this one was very well done, its a documentary on the Baja 1000 a off road race down in Baja Mexico. Dana Brown did this one and his other works are pretty good as well.
If you haven't you can also check out "Endless Summer" thats a classic surfing Documentary. Sorry there mostly off road related but thats my passion. :)
Best of luck to you and Amanda on the competitions.
I have seen endless summer :) I did enjoy that a lot... made me want to surf... but then I remembered I'm terrified of sharks :P
Ahhh come on Mike the sharks will just nibble on the toes a little. =D
A few months ago I watched the last half of Parallel Lines (der.org/films/parallel-lines.html) and was taken away by the content. It may be a little hard to watch but it definitely has a cool style to it.
That's crazy about Parallel Lines - when that film was just coming out, I had talked to Nina a few times in email and really wanted to see her film... I don't know what happened. But thanks for reminding me about it - I really need to watch it.
