UX Week 2008 kicks off with an on-stage conversation between Peter Merholz, president and founder of Adaptive Path, and Don Norman, industry legend. Don wrote the founding text on user-centered design, entitled The Design of Everyday Things, and also coined the term "user experience" while at Apple in the early 1990s. Don and Peter will discuss the evolution of user experience – from its early beginnings to its developing future.

Good to hear - Don came around many of my daily challenges and I most say I love his books!

This is a great interview. I use this as the "reading" for the first day of class in my course "Behavior and the Designed Environment" because Don introduces many of the fundamental questions or concepts we will be addressing.

UX Week and MX were two of the greatest conferences I've attended in recent memory. The speakers were brilliant and the discussions in between sessions were remarkable.
If you've got a chance to attend either UX Week or MX you won't be disappointed.
You can hear Don and Peter talk further over on Boxes and Arrows from this event, if of value. boxesandarrows.com/view/user-experience-week Cheers!
