Seriously though, that was an awesome show!
Looking forward to the podcasts. Jesse will meet the same fate as Ira Glass one day. They'll recognize how brilliant he really is, throw a large bag of cash at him and give him a national show.
But, seriously. As one approaches an age like mine, you find fewer and fewer things to be legitimately obsessed about. At least in my case, that manifests itself as frequently rolling my eyes and complaining about how much a given band sounds like a pale and overproduced imitation of [The Velvet Underground | The Ramones | The Buzzcocks | The Beatles | etc].
But these guys are just terrific. I literally can't stop listening to their stuff. Particularly that one song.
I bought The Gleam II after hearing Murder in the City and I see no reason why you shouldn't get a cut of that.
