Time lapse of the repair/remediation of a section of water and traffic damaged trail.
Poor drainage had lead to pooling in a braking area, causing displacement and eventually a rut. The rut was filled, and a grade reversal was built to shed the water ahead of the pooling area.
The grade reversal was anchored with several large sandstone chunks which were brought in for the purpose.
Work was assisted and supervised by NPWS staff, and performed by volunteers from the MTB community.
Work days are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month and all are welcome. Shoot me a message or leave a comment if you'd like more information.
