“Jumping Puddles” utilizes the juxtaposition of two narratives to create the sensation of a third. Visually, a young boy rides his bike through the early morning air to cross paths with a freight train as the audio delivers a story of warfare in distant jungle.

This film is the first of my independent films and is intended as a narrative experiment. I intended to take two desperate stories and place them in time together in the hopes that a third “something” would arise. Secondarily, as a CG artist, I hoped to create the sensation of a graphic novel, rather than a simulated image.
