A young Swiss girl, cancer survivor and leg amputee, fulfills her dream to be a wilderness horseback guide in Canada. She learns to deal with everything from defending off grizzly bears to shoeing horses in the wild Chilcotin Mountains of British Columbia.
Lisa's story speaks to the enormous challenges and even greater successes for overcoming obstacles in one's life.
Because of the unique learning environment and internship program developed by Kevan Bracewell at Chilcotin Holidays, all students, interns and staff benefit from defining their interests, goals and purpose and using these as a driving motivator during their stay. This unique environment is responsible for Lisa not giving up when times were hard. She persevered and invested in herself to achieve her life's goal.
