Paul Eurek, chief executive officer and chairman of Xpanxion, was one of three companies that presented on a panel about business model innovations in information technology at the 2011 Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference. Xpanxion's business model is very unique in that it is not just an offshore outsourcing company, but rather a company that combines offshore and rural America.
This cross-sourcing business model came from a continual process of making Xpanxion's offshore development teams more efficient. Through years of struggling to get the right processes down, the company eventually opened another office. That office ended up being in Kearney, and Xpanxion quickly learned that this cross between the rural technology center and its interaction with the offshore development team was a perfect combination.
