Using a Russian program, I enabled video capture on my Canon 40D. There's no sound, but this at least proves the capability. If possible, download the original file and watch it full screen. Amazing quality. Unlike the 5D Mark II, I can control aperture manually. (Not that this is remotely so convenient or awesome as the 5D Mark II!!)
