So I just got the Glidecam HD1000 for my Birthday. What a great gift!!! Took a bit of time to balance it but I need to tweak it a bit more. Have to practice because the footage sways a bit. Other than that...this thing is wonderful. My footage is nice and smooth.
If anyone has suggestions or tips to manipulate the Glidecam please feel free to leave comments or a video showing the proper way to use it.

    Very nice, I'm jealous :) There is some sway, but I'm sure you'll get rid of that with practice. Try youtubing how to set it up properly, or start a thread in the forums here, i'm sure someone will be able to help.

    Hi, to fix the swingish feeling in your footage, try to have the vertical balance drop more like 2.5sec instead of 1.5-2seconds. 3 seconds is not a problem as well. Also make sure the weights are more apart. This seems to work well for smaller cameras and keeps it more stable. I own a Glidecam HD-1000 as well, check out my video here:

    I have glidecam 4000 with smooth shooter. You need to practise. What can i say... smooth feeling with glidecam.
