this is stupid.. why dont you protest in washington with your shitty politicians.. instead you make the life of your fellow new yorkers harder.. because the average joe is the only one you affected with your protest on brooklyn bridge : P

shame on bothering all those policeman.. they just have to do their job. no need to fucking throw their hats away.. how disrespectful is that? 1:03 .. they asked you to leave the place so dont complain they were not touching you with silk gloves..
  • Giorgio Gunnelli 4 months ago
I love these protestors. Sure I don't think their every act is worthy of celebration, but they have taken the initiative to disrupt business-as-usual. The downward spiral that defines the lives of most ordinary people will not be stopped without people like these protestors stirring things up. Without people demanding otherwise, the corporations and the politicians they hire will NEVER actually take the health and well-being of ordinary people into consideration. IMHO, these folks work for you and me.

As to disrupting normal life, all I can say is get Wall Street to stop requiring it.

Peace (and I personally pledge to never throw a police officer's hat).
  • Bruno Rebocho 4 months ago
i believe that the hat was thrown because the police officer was aresting a sitting person that was speaking is mind.
  • budfreely 4 months ago
word up christoph. clogging the bridge to delay people getting to and from their jobs is counter-productive. and isn't the point of a protest to demand some kind of concrete 'right' or 'outcome'? good luck trying to get businessmen from being greedy... what you call greed they call success.
  • mtay mars 4 months ago
Why? Because the root of the problem is not the politicians, but the folks who are hiding behind the politicians.

From the book "An Attempt to Assassinate My Inner Bourgeois", French writer Yann Kerninon says " AS THE VULGARITY OF THE BOURGEOIS TRIUMOH INCREASES, SO DOES THE LIKELIHOOD OF OUR SALVATION. NO ONE EVER WINS THIS GAME.... THOSE WHO ARE OUTSIDE THE BOURGEOIS LOGIC, WHO LIVE ON THE FRINGE OF SOCIETY, MAY WELL OCCUPY A LARGER SPACE TOMORROW, FOR THEY ARE THE LAST TO KEEP VIGIL OVER AND CARRY WITHIN THEM THE SEEDS OF SOMETHING BOTH ESSENTIAL AND TRUE" Press on, press on!!!

As the US supports revolutions in the middle east to allow people the freedom of speech in championing democracy it faces it's very own modern day 'Satyagraha (peaceful and non violent revolution)'. Interesting and very well made, maybe time to listen, peace! :) [TFA30]

This is the truth right here, I got arrested, I was there and I would never regret a single thing, it felt so righteous. Of course we are disrupting normal life, but how else are you going to change the system? This is mindless and endless cycle of consumption and greed, we are being taught to kill ourselves as a community. We need to send a message!

yes, what is the protest about?
  • John Bruce 4 months ago
Lets see, where to start... how about wall street bankers buying off politicians and getting their way in our country. How about the gutting of the middle class which is the engine of our economy. How about the great pilfering of our economic base by the rich who have bought off the politicians to get what they want. They are after everything and will stop at nothing. Is that enough? We must remove the money from politics.
  • Farrago plus 4 months ago
thanks. i see, it's all about money. is it not?

I'm proud of my fellow Americans that have taken this stand. We did it in the 60's & 70's and some have died for their beliefs. America has a history ever since the American Revolution of stopping tyranny and the time has come once more for this great cause to be taken up and fought for. My suggestion is to do it within the law and not to break the law. The sheer appearance of such vast numbers and peaceful protest will do the job. That we have accepted the gauntlet for freedom and equality I am sure has the elected officials taking a hard look and pause at what they have created. Homelessness, unemployment, hunger, and poverty among the most educated classes in America is the real crime here. The greed of politicians, corporations, and the few is the real evil and illness in America. "We The People!"

Spoken like a true anti-American Socialist. Why don't you move to Europe so that you can enjoy the open-borders and true freedom as the rest of them now do?
