The Age of Stupid is a 90-minute film about climate change, set in the future, which had its world premiere in London on March 15th 2009 and was released in UK cinemas on March 20th 2009, and will be followed by other countries.

Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite (In The Name of the Father, Brassed Off) stars as a man living alone in the devasted world of 2055, looking back at “archive” footage from 2007 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?

Great! but why cant it be broadcast on global tv so a really large audience can view it? hope its not for a stupid reason like "That's not profitable" Incidentally Al Gore's "Inconvenient truth" is still raking in the bucks and hasnt been shown for free 2 years after ????

Saw this film last night, in Omagh, Northern Ireland

Great little movie. (That's a compliment)

Afterwards, several of us went to the pub, to continue the discussion; good stuff. We, humanity can change our future; IF we energetically embrace the possibilities. We are going to have the problems anyway, we might as well 'get stuck in'.

Learnt of a community farm, 75 acres, (Cloughjordan, Co Tipperary) giving most of the food needs for 50 households.

Discussed the issues of wind energy performance, and the disinformation that is out there. Discussed the nett solar energy received per year; about 10,000 times our current energy burn.
