Wervik is one of Belgium's oldest towns, going back to Roman times. Each year, in early October, a Gallo-Roman weekend is organised. This year, the weather was remarkably sunny and hot. Celtic craftmanship was demonstrated and Roman legions presented different formations and tactics.
