Ubiquity is a Firefox* extension from Mozilla Labs that acts as a "command line for the web" and lets you easily write your own commands and subscribe to commands that others have written.

In this tutorial, I assume you have Ubiquity installed already, and I walk you through creating your first command and sharing it on the Web. The example command is one that looks up members of U.S. congress by zip code.

* - and, eventually, a Thunderbird extension too.

terrific, thanks so much. i've made a few commands from the templates with no js, jquery experience, but these video tutorials are more helpful than fumbling trial and error.

Thanks. This got me started. I have a question though. How did you get syntax highlighting in the built-in editor? Is this 0.5 BETA feature, I'm using the latest stable, so I don't have it if that's the case.

    LMK. Thanks.
