In August 2008, as part of Dance Base Presents programme for the Fringe Festival, Janis Claxton Dance performed this durational improvised work inside an animal enclosure at the Edinburgh Zoo. For 11 days the 'Human Exhibit' saw 5 'Human Animals' inside the enclosure from 10am-5pm daily, supported by 2 'Zoo Keepers' at feeding times and for the Human Animal Talk. This excerpt is a 17-minute selection of visual and sound bites from this award-winning event that scooped a Herald Angel Award, a Total Theatre Shortlist, caused a media frenzy and holds the record of the largest Fringe audience in history - 38, 256! Supported by The Edinburgh Zoo, Dance Base, Catalyst Dance Management and sponsored by Artemis.
