Projection onto framed tissue paper of live interactive webcam audio visualizer. Images are taken live from webcam and respond in size, position, and color to whatever is occurring on the microphone at the time - particularly music.
In this case, I've incorporated a lot of tweaks compared to earlier examples, including the "comic book" effect on the visuals and Im getting closer to what I want.
A lot of thought and effort went into making the colors work together in different tempos/frequencies, getting the size and speed possibilities right, etc. Ultimately, there should be someone VJing with this, changing settings on the fly to suit the music/environment.
In this video at various times you see a cat, me, me with 2 different masks, a paper mache head, two different dolls, the macbook, and my tv. It's projected onto white tissue paper framed behidn glass (same setup I used for Ofrenda 07)
Some of the tweaks came while projecting this and working on it during an ad-hoc art salon in washington, dc
