Mark Lindquist creates a work of art, "Dowel Bowl" using one tool, for the exhibition, "The Tool at Hand" - an exhibition sponsored by the Chipstone Foundation, Ethan Lasser, Curator, showing at the Milwaukee Museum of Art, 2012, and traveling. This short film features early works by Mark Lindquist, including "The MacDowell Woodpiles", an environmental sculpture created by Mark Lindquist at the MacDowell Colony, Peterborough, NH in 1980, where Lindquist stacked 40 cords of firewood to create the artwork. "Dowel Bowl" harkens back to the experience of creating the MacDowell Woodpiles. Video has music created by Mark Lindquist performed on the Dowel Bowl. Videography and editing by Nicholas Staab.
