Our Wine Buff Erin McGrath is tasting: Chateau Peynaud, Bordeaux Superieur Red 2009.
In the glass, it has a deep plum color. The nose is chalk full of charred meat, smoke, and red fruit. On the palate it’s medium bodied, subtly spicy with a bit of cinnamon stick, dustiness and licorice stick, with notes of the soil. A smooth finish with a hint of spicy plum.
