Our Wine Buff Mollie Battenhouse is tasting: Chateau Plain Point, Fronsac Red 2008.

On the nose, there’s vanilla and spice as well as herbaciousness and minerality. On the palate, bright, juicy with acidity, black fruits, gravel, cedar, herbaceous spice, with a sensation of the wood: a roundness, softness and layer of soft spice at the bottom. Would go well with a rib eye steak, lamb, grilled pork roast with grilled fruit or braised beef stew, maybe a hamburger.
