So, i'm trying to switch my music workflow from being a writing oriented one to being more a performance oriented one. In the process of playing with Native Instruments Battery 3 again after a long departure, I discovered the quantize tool, which quantizes beats on the incoming MIDI instead of doing it post tracking, which is what I was used to. I was like, NOOOOO.... I spent an hour just jamming on one patch, like I do when playing with my monome, only with MIDI. It was fantastic.
