SoCalCross Cyclocross Prestige Series #1 in Downtown LA

First race in the Southern California 2011-12 Cyclocross season was held near downtown LA. There was a huge turnout of racers and spectators for most of the day, but by the time the Men's and Women's A races began, the near 100 degree heat had chased off all but the most die-hard. The course was nearly 2 miles per lap and featured lots of loose dirt and bumpy grass and sun-baked earth.
