I used to listen to NPR's Marketplace on the way home from my job. It was pretty dreary, but I always thought to myself, "I'm still making the same wage, no direct impact to me."

I took these clips from the show on 1/8/09 (the day I got directly impacted and downsized) and decided to do a typography piece to them. Typography pieces are all over the place right now, and I thought it looked like fun.

I used super simple easy fonts as you'll see, I tried to focus more on the full composition of the type and the animation. I learned that there's always a lot to learn about typography.
