Carmen is one of the beneficiaries of a programme supported by the Belgian development agency (BTC) in one of the poorest areas in Peru: Programa de Centros de Servicios Empreseriales No financieros en el corredor ecónomico Ayacucho - Apurímac - Huancavelica (PROGRAMA CSE).
It aims to help create jobs and get better incomes for small producers in rural areas and small businesses in urban areas. The programme also has a focus on gender, aiming to strengthen women entrepreneurs as well.
This interview is part of a photo exposition in collaboration with another BTC funded project in Peru working with women:
