Very informative. But am I only one, who remeber this vimeo.com/2285902 ?

    (not implying anything)
  • mrlee.tv plus 4 months ago
Thinking exactly the same thing, and it IS implying something ... and rightfully so. The world map seems a copy and possibly a copyright infringement.

"Bad artists copy. Great artists steal." ~ Pablo Picasso

It's actually "Good artists copy, great artists steal."

  • Aad Kruiswijk 4 months ago
If you steal you make it yours, here we have new images same story so that makes it nothing more than a well made Copy of Royskopp video!

This is what good artist do when copy! vimeo.com/3514904
Good artist will never mention copyright terms
    but respect them!
  •
  • Simon Victor 4 months ago
Ignore the copyright trolls. Everything that is born is already connected to something that exists already. That is the nature of evolution, in art, as much as nature. By saying it steals from Royksopp, undermines the considerable work and artistry it obviously took to create this video. I also admire the producer of this video, for capitalizing on a highly topical subject matter

One mistake, in an otherwise comprehensive work: the text throughout the video appears to be typeset in Arial, rather than the Helvetica from which it was poorly copied for Microsoft who simply didn’t want to license the real thing. In the future, especially with such a headline text-heavy work, please use Helvetica, or else a different typeface entirely. Arial should be avoided whenever possible, especially in anything other than (body) web text. ms-studio.com/articlesarialsid.html
  • Drew Stearne plus 4 months ago
Actually both fonts are used in this piece, in different places but point taken.
  • Stephen Coles 3 months ago
    On purpose?
  • Drew Stearne plus 3 months ago
No, accidentally, was meant to all be helvetica.

very nice, I am curious when illustrate A4 and intel 4004, showing transistors , intel had 2300, and when showing A4,clearly that's wrong, because, same height as intel 4004 ( 2300 ) , A4 already surpass 10000, so if in my opinion, real scale would be 4 times dramatic than this one. hope you get what i mean.

A little opinion, the CPU history part would be better related to ARM.

There is a mistake on the scheme of San Francisco (at the 13-14th second of the video): that’s Bay Bridge, not Golden Gate.
I like the movie though :)

I may be nitpicking, but the iPhone and iPhone 3G processor speeds may have been rated for up to 620Mhz, but they were underclocked to around 400Mhz, right? The 3GS as well, was rated for up to 800Mhz, but was underclocked to 600Mhz
