Bravo pour ce film. Jai une remarque cependant . Elle se situe a 1:17 minute du film. on remarque bien comme un filtre de couleur diferent sur le visage du main actor. Est ce une error de post prod ou cest au niveau de la camera?

Not all natural light! Watch the BTS of Mobius.
  • Chris Davis plus 3 months ago
That's the real beauty. Lighting it, without making it look lit.
  • Paul Kroeker plus 3 months ago
Was that natural alien light too, bursting out of the cockpit??

This looks really great!! Anyone know the difference in codecs and frame rates compared to the much cheaper red scarlet-x?? I actually personally prefer the look of the Alexa over Epic even though epic has that massive bit rate and all that.

Im just trying to make sense of it all, and really looking forward to seeing more from this camera!
  • Mike Isler 3 months ago
"Much cheaper"? A Scarlet-X in its most basic functional form is around $15k, once you factor in EVF, LCD, SSD media and reader, batts and charger. This Canon should have a street price right around that price point. The quoted list price is always significantly higher than what the street price ends up as.
  • Jon Carr plus 3 months ago
Agreed Mike and then you have to consider the post side of things as well. You need a beefy computer and red rocket card as well for the Scarlet. Many hidden costs that will add up.

Canon just announced a 4K DSLR is in development, with full frame 35mm sensor larger than the C300. Amazing... eoshd.com/content/5147/canon-announce-35mm-full-frame-4k-dslr

its like a mirage, man! steamy desert heat! also an effective way to show a guy getting plugged and not having to fire a blank or a squib…just add the muzzle flash in post!
  • eric gorski 3 months ago
i think they blurred it so that you couldn't tell who they were executing. if it was in perfect focus you would have been able to tell it was him. that way it's not until the end that you realize he was watching himself get killed and it blows your mind.

Fantastic work, The c300 looks great but sort of pricey for the average 5d/7d/60d filmmaker... So anything to tell us about the super 35mm Dslr? ;)
  • Vincent Laforet pro 3 months ago
I wish this camera were cheaper... a little pricier than I was expecting... worth it relative to image quality. But I am all about getting this camera and others in as many filmmakers hands as possible...

Is there plans for utilizing the 4k frame through SDI or is the camera limited to the 1080p capture? Great film by the way.

Looks amazing! Great work! Just curious, at 4:42 it looks like the jeeps wheels are going backwards? I saw this in one other spot too, is that the rims? Messed with my head is all..

  • Martin Oller 3 months ago
The action (esp. car chase) felt like it had a bit of avarage combo of angles & music ("when-and-where-to" editing, basicly). Otherwise, it looked neat (and expensive ;-)
