Cades Cove attracts some two million visitors a year. Take a tour of the eleven mile loop and you will quickly see why. Eleven historic sites featuring homesteads, mills and churches serve as backdrop to a surprising array of wildlife. White tail dear, black bear, coyote and a variety of other birds and mammals can be seen from the comfort of ones car, which, is where most people stay. Despite the large crowds a brief walk down quiet path or an open field is all that is needed to find some quiet solitude.
