So. Ed called me and asked me to talk to him about my thoughts on the olympics, and
then to write this paragraph to accompany our conversation.

Sorry I went on such rant. It's just that I feel the olympics have the wool pulled
over peoples eyes regarding how it operates and what its all about in this day and
age. In my opinion, snowboarding is rooted in a scene that doesn't need something
like the olympics, and todays snowboarders are capable of standing up against it.

It's not that I don't believe in the competition side of snowboarding, it's just
that I don't think snowboarding needs or should have some corporate entity such as
the IOC in charge of its competitions. Especially one that is so detrimental to our
environment, which we so desperately need to preserve to be able to maintain
