On 2nd October 2011, Red Bull brought the world’s smallest velodrome to The Old Fruit Market in Glasgow to challenge fixed gear riders from across the country and beyond for the first time in Scotland.
Red Bull Mini Drome will engage both body and mind as riders navigate around a unique and technically challenging course reaching speeds of up to 80 km/ph.
The purpose built track has been engineered in Germany by Velotrack, the team who built the velodromes for the Atlanta Olympics and the Delhi Commonwealth Games. The track maintains race worthy dimensions in the smallest possible size to enable a single pursuit.
Foundlight captured the magic and produced this short film.
