Each year in St. Emilion the Jurade honors new members by inducting them into this brotherhood that dates back to 1199. Saint-Emilion, the UNESCO world heritage site that sits on Bordeaux's Right Bank, is home to some of the world's most famous and most respected wines that come from the prestige appellations of Pomerol and St. Emilion.
In 2011, French tennis star Henri Leconte was inducted as a Jurat and presided over the celebrations as the Honorary President.
