Written from an intimate angle, the transmedia project celebrates the beauty and simplicity of these ancient and mostly unknown cultures from the Wakhan corridor in Afghanistan without concealing the hardships these men and women face, and the issues that lie ahead for this changing country. This hybrid experience offers the viewer a different vision of a country they believe they already know.
"Wakhan, an other Afghanistan!" is the anchor of the multimedia project comprised of a documentary, a web documentary, photographic expositions, a book and an interactive installation.
At the crossroads of an ethnographic and documentary approach, a new genre of interactive experience and the artistic collaboration of two friends who rediscover one another throughout this journey, the creators confront themselves to a reality that pushes us to re-evaluate how we look at things and how we see the world.
