This is the Berlin based band Monno. They are orginally from Switzerland but have been living in Berlin for quite some time. The guy on the computer (left) is Gilles Aubry who has made a name for himself with his very nice solo laptop sets and the guy with the saxophone (right) is Antoine Chessex who is known for his solo saxophone drone and noise stuff. My label naivsuper has published a very nice small CD with some of his circular breathing drones.
I guess Monno is their way of anger management. Very dark and heavy. This excerpt is from a very slow piece which reminded be a bit of Bohren only twice as fast and 50 times more noisy. It actually made my teeth shake.
