hmm. tonight i really wanted to make something, and get it uploaded quick (like a timed challenge). without a camera to film on i didn't have many options... so, i decided to put a little life into this photo: flickr.com/photos/matthewlight/1355553115/

the music used is a tiny excerpt from '9 Beet Stretch', which is Beethoven's 9th symphony stretched out to last 24hrs. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_Beet_Stretch

UPDATE: replaced by an HD version- the original looked quite blurred. The old ending isn't there anymore, so most of the comments dont make much sense.

I still don't get how you do these. They're really great and you seem to have a system down to add life to your photos.

Could you pretty please record a screen capture of your process and post it up? I'm a visual learner and I've seen that you've written some instructions before, but I really want to see you make one of these.

nope, i dont have after effect. I just used photoshop and a tiny bit of imovie. i could have probably done everything in after effect though, i think i'm going to have to try and find myself a copy of it.

at night, when this place is lit up, you cant really make out what it is. you can be fooled into thinking it's beautiful when that happens too.

thanks, yeah i like it. it was in 'the bank' so to speak- a little flash animation i was going to add to a possible project. but i couldn't wait and just used it regardless to if it fitted the theme or not.

i really Really like it, up to the ending. Personally i really like the depressing look and the coloured beams just dont do it for me ;). But thats alright i could never have done it better myself :)
