Accomplished classical portrait artist, Nicholas Petrucci, unveiled his 6’ x 4’commissioned oil portrait of Everglades Photographic Icon, Clyde Butcher.
Petrucci paints in the style of Old Masters
Rembrandt and Caravaggio, a style nearly unique in contemporary art.
Clyde Butcher is often compared to Ansel Adams for his large format black and white photography as well
as his commitment to conservation of the Everglades ecosystem and other fragile wonders of the natural
world. Clyde Butcher’s leadership has brought greater understanding of the need to preserve the natural
beauty of the Everglades.
