Hamilton is an industrial town on the shores of Lake Ontario, about 50 miles west of Niagara Falls, Ontario.
In the 80s I was a member of the Hamilton Movie Club, which was one of the most prolific amateur movie making clubs in Ontario.
Super 8 film was still being used, but video was slowly making inroads, which a lot of diehard film makers resisted with a passion, particularly as early video projection was vastly inferior to Super 8 film projection.
On this film, which I transferred to video, you'll see some of the movie cameras they used, like the Canon 1014 XLS Super 8 sound, and you'll also see one guy using an early Sony video camera, which had a separate recorder. Remember them ?
This film was edited purely on film, as I didn't venture into video till the late 80s.
